Stat is a one-stop platform for common youth-related health matters.
Youths, defined as "persons between the age of 15 and 24" according to the United Nations, make up 16% of the global population. Stat aims to raise awareness of the three most common health issues related to youths worldwide - sexual and reproductive health, mental health, and substance use disorders including alcohol and tobacco.
Stat, a jargon widely used amongst medical professionals, is derived from the latin word statim, which means "immediately". In the fast-paced modern world, we expect more given to us within a short space of time. This website provides all the basic information you need; stripping away all the medical jargon, we have broken down the topics into bite-sized information for you.

Dr Xin Ya Lim
A social psychologist-turned-public health researcher, now a medical doctor - Dr Xin Ya Lim has a keen interest in gender and sexual health and intersectionality. Dr Lim is experienced in various types of quantitative and qualitative research methods and has published papers in integrated healthcare and mental health. She has written extensively on the topic of sexual and reproductive health, and has been featured on various blogs including BMJ, Ferne Health, and Giving What We Can.
